The company founder and CEO, Dr Tom Myers, has over 20 years in R&D and with his team a track record of delivering disruptive technologies to the scientific instrumentation for a wide range of customers across industry, academia and the public sector. Biota Trace is a multidisciplinary company employing engineering, electronics, software, molecular biology and commercialisation disciplines.

Biota Trace Limited has offices, laboratory space and engineering and production facilities within Wharfebank Mills in the market town of Otley, Leeds, UK. The mill complex has a proud history of productivity and innovation and is situated on the banks of the river Wharfe in the foothills of the Yorkshire dales.
